The Sefton Hotel management team is celebrating after the venue recently set a new record for the number of weddings held in one year.

The hotel, which is owned by Sefton Group plc, the Island's leading leisure and hospitality group, will have held 20 weddings by the end of 2016 after recently taking another booking, but expects to beat this again in 2017 thanks to an unprecedented level of bookings and enquiries for next year.

The venue is unique on the Island thanks to its stunning Atrium Water Garden feature, and its civil wedding ceremony licence which allows couples to marry in that event space, as well as in its Garden Room, Cowell Suite and Harris Restaurant. It really does cater for the bespoke wedding market, with its Executive Head Chef able to create seven-course luxury banquets showcasing Manx produce upon request.

The Sefton Hotel General Manager, Allen Jackson, commented: "When couples come to the hotel for a walk-round, they really are wowed by the Atrium Water Garden and how versatile this is. As well as it being a beautiful setting, it is a fantastic space to hold a party and can be transformed into a wide variety of themes using lighting and props.

"Another factor which I believe has made us so popular is the fact that couples can marry here as well as celebrate their reception with us, and then allow their guests to stay overnight afterwards; we have a number of function spaces for couples to choose from which not only enhances The Sefton's reputation as the Island's premier wedding venue, but also increases convenience for them."

The Sefton Hotel held the Island's largest Wedding Fayre in January, and has confirmed that it will hold its next Wedding Fayre on Sunday 29 January 2017 between 12pm and 3pm. Companies who wish to enquire about exhibiting at this event should email to make further enquiries or to book their space.
